Selection procedure

The selection procedure comprises an artistic part and a personal and professional aptitude part. We reserve the right to make any changes to the respective components.

Artistic aptitude part (movement and expression skills):

The artistic part consists of audiovisual material of your dance experience and a movement part during the admission interview. Both focus on your skills in the areas of:

  • Non-verbal interaction
  • Improvisation
  • Expressive abilities
  • Your experience in dance in general and the integration of biographic aspects in your dance repertoire

Personal and professional aptitude section

This will be held in the form of an online interview which focuses on your motivation to study, areas of interest, plans, personal and professional background and communication skills. After a successful application via the online portal, we will contact you personally. The interview will be held online as a video conference in a one-to-one setting.

Please note, that for international students aspiring to undertake their internship or secure employment after graduation in Germany, a minimum German language proficiency of level B2, as defined by the Comon European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), is generally required.
